Alpha Chi Sigma is unique in that we only charge one lifetime membership fee. That lifetime membership fee guarantees that you are a member of an organization, composed of individuals with similar interests to yours, throughout your life. However, to be considered an active member, and receive the rights therein, it is important that you continue to contribute to the health and well-being of the organization through annual donations.

You can become an Active Professional with a gift of $100 ($50 for young professionals and retired individuals). This donation can be made in a single payment or in smaller monthly payments. As an Active Professional, you can vote for Professional Representatives, receive The HEXAGON, and serve the Fraternity in other capacities such as District Counselor, Professional Representative, or Conclave delegate for Professional Chapters.

The Fraternity has three objects:

  • To bind its MEMBERS in a tie of true and lasting friendship.
  • To strive for the advancement of CHEMISTRY both as a science and as a profession.
  • To aid its MEMBERS by every honorable means in the attainment of their ambitions as CHEMISTS throughout their mortal lives.

At the core of the three objects are two notions – its members and chemistry.

Your donation helps to keep lifetime membership fees reasonable for all to join our Brotherhood, no matter their income. It helps to increase the number of members that enjoy the camaraderie from which we all have benefited.

Watch your donation grow! Let your employer match your gift! Many companies match the contributions their employees make to qualified nonprofit organizations. Alpha Chi Sigma Fraternity is recognized as a 501(c) 3 tax exempt nonprofit educational organization whose primary purpose is to foster and promote advancements in chemistry. Contact your company’s Human Resources Department to let them know about your donation to our organization. Encourage them to contact the National Office (national@alphachisigma.org) if they need more information to match your gift!
