Ronald T. Pflaum Outstanding Chapter Advisor Award

Instituted in 1992 in honor and memory of Dr. Ronald T. Pflaum, Alpha Theta 1953, the Ronald T. Pflaum Outstanding Chapter Advisor Award is presented at Conclave each biennium to a Chapter Advisor as recognition of his or her ongoing contributions to the success of a chapter and his or her continuing service to the interest of the Fraternity. Brother Pflaum served as Chapter Advisor for Alpha Theta Chapter at the University of Iowa for many years, as Grand Recorder for 10 years, as Grand Editor, Grand Master Alchemist, Grand Collegiate Alchemist and District Counselor. The University of Iowa established an endowed lecture series in memory of Brother Pflaum.

This award consists of an engraved plaque and an invitation to participate at Conclave. To nominate a Chapter Advisor, collegiate chapters may submit a one-page curriculum vitae and a two-page statement justifying why their Chapter Advisor should be selected. Nomination should be submitted to the National Office by March 1 of Conclave years. The District Counselors, chaired by the Grand Collegiate Alchemist, will select the winner from among the nominees.
