Filing the e-Postcard with the IRS
If your chapter has gross receipts OVER $50,000, you are required to submit form 990 or 990-EZ with the IRS. Most chapters have gross receipts of $50,000 or less and therefore, must file the e-Postcard. The e-Postcard is due each year by the 15th day of the fifth month after the close of your tax year. For Alpha Chi Sigma, our tax year ends on Dec. 31, so your e-Postcard is due by May 15 each year. You cannot file the e-Postcard until after your tax year ends.
